The organisation you will be in is Global Procurement - Digital & Tech in the domain of Digital Health and you will be reporting to the Delivery Lead of Digital Health. This team is aiming to support the development of Digital Products in many cases in a regulated environment (Software as Medical Device). The main categories are Software development - validation with focus in managed services, maintaining and managing these applications, data & Analytics treatment, support to implementations at Roche customers and eventually licensing subscription models.
As a Sr. Procurement Delivery Manager - Digital & Tech, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will bring analytical thinking, planning, execution, and focus to the procurement sourcing/contracting and delivery capability area. Using your strong problem-solving, deep procurement skills, and category knowledge, you will drive collaboration with procurement and business stakeholders to build and implement comprehensive sourcing and spend management activities. Based on your specialized knowledge and in-depth expertise of procurement and specific spend categories, you will proactively manage and/or support at global scale to develop strategies and approaches for managing and sourcing third party spend requirements.
Your key responsibilities include: Category subject matter expert conducting vendor market and internal analysis to develop strategies and preferred vendor program with cost analysis (based in vendor, rates, locations, expertise,..)Run E2E sourcing process mainly for strategic outsourcing: Including vendor pre-selection, RfP (Request for Proposal) / Bidding process, negotiating, contracting always in line with the Delivery Managers.Influence the Delivery Managers to prioritize the Preferred project portfolio, the strategy, ensure sharing best practices, tactics, and vision for Roche to source and negotiate for third-party services that satisfy stakeholder requirements while achieving procurement objectives (savings, fast contract turnaround time).When executing within the category leverage: Category know-how, robust sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and project management methodologies and skills to deliver on objectives in a complex global/international set-up.Manage suppliers and internal stakeholder relationships that contribute to the aim of the GP organization.Deliver on customer priorities and opportunities, while enabling Roche to meet its societal and environmental commitments.Deal with administrative tasks necessary to develop and maintain our systems and processes.You have dealt with global and local vendors in the software development category in more than one country.Skills: You hold a university degree, with a business degree preferable. You have 10+ years of experience in global category management, strategic sourcing, complex procurement contracting, and operational category efficiency projects. You are capable of driving complex conversations with senior management with strong knowledge in the IT ground.
In addition, you have: Solid leadership experience with strong influential skills.Proven data-driven decision-making.Extensive IT sourcing, IT procurement and/or IT vendor management experience and specific category knowledge in IT Professional Services, Application Services as main knowledge and secondary Software Licensing, infrastructure from large-scale organizations.Executive presence and comfortable with interacting with both internal stakeholder and external vendor senior leadership.Demonstrated project management and negotiation skills.Business level fluency in English.Mindset and Behaviors: You strive to act as an enterprise thinker and leverage knowledge and expertise to create solutions for business customers by proactively fostering collaboration, including across the procurement network.You are action-oriented and can make decisions and influence others to do the same; you repurpose work and ideas in favor of starting from scratch.You demonstrate curiosity, active listening, and a willingness to experiment and test new ideas when appropriate, focusing on continuous learning and improvement.You work with colleagues across procurement, business, and the broader Roche organization to better understand customer needs, optimise procurement activities and connect the dots.You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others.At Roche, we believe in diversity and inclusion as essential values for our success.
