About the Team:
The OPIS Data Science & Analytics team is a collaborative group of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers dedicated to tackling intricate data challenges. Our team leverages extensive industry knowledge, robust analytical skills, and a practical approach to address our organization's most complex business dilemmas.
About the Role: As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in our data-driven initiatives, utilizing your expertise to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. You'll contribute to informed decision-making across our organization through meticulous analysis and insightful reporting. Join us in making a meaningful impact through data analysis and interpretation.
You Will: Work closely with OPIS Product Management and other Business teams to translate business requirements to create analytics visualizations and customer-facing dashboards.Gain an in-depth understanding of all OPIS data sources and design advanced data models tailored to complex analytics needs.Conduct deep-dive investigations and leverage advanced analytics techniques using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to create complex visualizations and dashboards, and define metrics.Communicate insights clearly to tell a compelling business story; Perform strategic analysis to identify new business opportunities.Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate with agile product teams on data discovery, cleansing, mapping, profiling, mining, and modeling.You Have: Degree in data analytics, or related technical field or equivalent experience.2+ years of industry experience in data analytics.Proficiency in SQL and Python, and basic knowledge of Excel/Sheets.Strong experience with data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).Experience in the development of data modeling for BI tools.Experience with qualitative and quantitative methods, trend and cross-sectional data, and data integration to achieve project goals.Team-oriented and collaborative with a desire to learn and contribute.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in data and processes.Graduate degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or related disciplines.Proficiency in data extrapolation using quantitative methodologies.Basic understanding of web analytics tools is a plus.Must speak and write in English fluently; Effective communicator.Our Benefits: Pension Scheme: Company contributes up to 8% of your salary with matching contributions.Healthcare Coverage: Comprehensive health plan with unlimited coverage, including outpatient care, dental, and maternity.Life & Disability Insurance: Coverage from day one, including life insurance at 2X salary and accident coverage up to 4X salary.Wellness Programs: Access to wellness platforms, mindfulness apps, and free fitness classes.Meal & Teleworking Allowance: Monthly meal card and teleworking allowance.Flexible Working: Ability to work from home 2 days per week with the option to work remotely for 1 week per quarter.Family Care Support: Up to 4 weeks of paid compassionate leave and a generous reimbursement for emergency care.Referral Bonus: Earn a bonus for recommending great talent to join us.Inclusion and diversity are critical to the success of Dow Jones, and we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
