As a key member of our dynamic team of software engineers, you will have the opportunity to: Build software that tests software either by coding or by integrating third party tools into our test suites.Review designs and architecture looking closely at code quality and risks.Support developers in refactoring existing code to make it more testable.Compose, execute and assess results of functional and non-functional tests according to the defined by the Test Strategy.Reviewing requirements and specifications documentation to ensure clarity and testability.Creating, maintaining and reviewing test cases for software in all lifecycle phases according to the provided documentation and within the specified tools.Accurately estimating testing effort when requested.Configuring and managing Test Environments.Executing test cases during preliminary and final test phases, analyzing test results, reporting and tracking issues, and verifying fixes.Supporting the Test Manager for the assessment of the test results.Providing timely feedback about defects and issues.Assisting the Test Manager/Test Project Lead with the creation of required test documentation (e.g., test plans and test reports).When working in a scrum team sharing responsibilities and committed to achieve the team's objectives, encouraging and promoting quality.Collaborating in the product risk assessment identifying risks and providing test case coverage.Collaborating with software development and GCS when required.Ensuring adherence to quality standards, relevant QAPs, SOPs and Working Instructions.Providing input to continually improve V&V processes, testing efficiency (incl. application of test automation where appropriate), and product quality.Participating in V&V improvement initiatives.Sharing, coaching and training about Testing within and outside the department.To permanently optimize processes to increase quality and efficiency standards.Ensure the software stack integrates with the company's existing continuous integration pipeline.Apply solid understanding of the business domain and the interaction with other domains to help shape technical requirements and solutions; advocate for the domain and influence the architecture and directions of the product design.Execute tasks using Agile methodologies and skills, especially Scrum.Willing to learn more technologies and development practices.Education required:
Bachelors/ Masters degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Skills & Experience: Experience in programming large-scale enterprise products & web applications.Experience in Hexagonal Architecture and design principles.Knowledge of Java, JUnit, Cypress, Jest, Selenium, RestAssured.Experience in Docker and Kubernetes.Familiar with Agile methodology.Familiar with DevOps principles & especially GitHub Actions and Jenkins.Uses time effectively and efficiently.Detailed oriented, professional and possesses a positive work attitude.Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.Willing to learn new technologies and ways of working.Knowledge on the Healthcare industry is a plus.Knowledge in Cache Object Script by Intersystems is a plus.Who we are: At Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
