This means mainly to ensure full legal compliance regarding Safety Data Sheets and product classifications (e.G., GHS).
You will be part of the global dsm-firmenich Safety, Health, Environment & Security organisation, team Product Stewardship.
You will liaise with all the business units and regions across the globe.

Equal access to opportunities is a given, belonging is a shared feeling, authenticity is celebrated.Your key responsibilitiesMaintain data for products and raw materials mainly in SAP EHS, create and update Safety Data Sheets (SDSs, eSDSs) and periodically review substances' classifications according to legal and dsm-firmenich requirements.Translate study results (i.E., physical-chemical and (eco-)toxicology) into SAP EH&S to enable the system to classify substances correctly.Transfer Chemical Safety Reports into the respective exposure scenarios for eSDS.Support the maintenance of regulatory content of SAP EH&S system and future SAP PLM.Servicing (internal) customer requests.Monitor the changes of chemical legislation globally in consultation with the team members, assess the impact and organize implementation; support business in definition and addressing of (potential) substances of concern; provide solicited and unsolicited advice to business.Member of project teams to support the launch of new products, e.G., definition of required studies concerning worker safety to be done and identification of (potential) substances of concern.Provide operational support for production sites concerning safe handling and storage of products/materials.Work in interdisciplinary projects related to product safety and maintain a network of product safety specialists.Contribute as a member of the internal team that develops and maintains internal Occupational Exposure values.Represent the company externally.We bringA supportive environment where you're empowered to grow and share your ideas.An inclusive and multicultural team with respect for everyone.A dynamic work environment with many challenges that give you the possibility to work autonomously and with a team in finding the right solutions.You bringBachelor or Master degree in chemistry, or other natural science; preference for somebodywith a background in industrial hygiene.5-8 years practical experience in the field of product safety/product stewardship.Profound experience with SAP EH&S, incl.
regulatory content update process (desirable).Detailed knowledge of EU CLP regulation, good knowledge of GHS UN, and classification rules for Dangerous Goods.Experience with Poison Center Notifications.Interest and capability to understand, consider and interpret details of legislation into workable solutions.Team player with the ability to work in a multicultural team based in different countries and capable to work independently as well.Shown experience with project management.Excellent skills in using MS Office Applications.Excellent language skills in English.The application processInterested in this position?
