The business has been operating for just over 5 years and has already established itself as a performance leader within its category. Their ambition is to shake up the motorcycle industry with sustainable products and outperform its competitors in both performance and innovation. While they plan to scale up quickly in the coming years, they are keen to protect and continue their culture and commitment to doing things differently! Currently, the team is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer on a permanent basis. This role will look to push the boundaries of Power System capabilities and continue their success in the industry.
What you will be doing:Designing and developing traction inverters, chargers, and VCU with power and efficiency as the number one priority.Engineering solutions that are compact, lightweight, uncomplicated, and cost-effective.Collaborating with the wider business to ensure the technology is being designed effectively.Providing deep and expert technical guidance on all Power Electronics-related topics.Working with suppliers to incorporate cutting-edge technology components.What we are looking for:Strong experience and understanding of Power Electronics, inverters, and power conversion from design to validation (ideally for vehicle application).Deep knowledge of EMC and RED testing, functional safety standards, and design to meet EMI requirements.Expertise in high power density circuits, impedance control, and multiple-layer PCB design using tools like Altium Designer, KiCad, Orcad, or equivalents.Familiarity working within a highly regulated environment following industry standards.Excellent communication skills with both expert and non-expert audiences.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.This is truly an exciting time to join and take ownership of developing the most efficient Power Systems for vehicles.
