Swag was founded in Estonia in 2019 by a group of professionals in the field of Blockchain and Bitcoin.

Our IT team is looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer!
A bit about the team: The IT team is multicultural, young, brilliant, and tireless, focused on building new products and supporting every project.

What will make your day: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management to resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and make decisions.
Write and maintain reusable code, staying updated on the codebase and tools used daily; be open to learning new technologies as needed.
Develop new ideas for programs, products, or features by monitoring industry trends and developments.
Collaborate with developers to implement new features using Git Version Control System.
Work closely with front-end team members to set objectives and design functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience, including building back-end APIs.
Identify and troubleshoot issues uncovered by customer feedback or support team reports, testing, and addressing them or escalating to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to identify areas for improvement and troubleshoot problems.
A bit more about you: Experience with coding languages such as JavaScript, Java, and SQL.
Experience with libraries/frameworks such as Spring.
Experience with CICD with Bitbucket, Terraform, and GCP.
Experience with distributed event store and stream processing platforms like Kafka.
Proficient in using IDE, Postman, and Swagger for API testing, as well as Datagrip for database analysis and management.
Strong knowledge of Git and Version Control Systems.
Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English.
Good to have: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Critical thinking skills, flexibility in the workplace, and a goal-oriented, deadline-driven mindset.
Good knowledge of the Italian language.
Experience in blockchain and the Fintech industry.
