We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our expanding team. You will play a critical role in designing and developing backend systems that support IoT devices, leveraging modern DevOps practices. You will work with cutting-edge technologies in Azure cloud infrastructure and a microservices architecture, building solutions that protect the lives and homes of our customers.
This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Job responsibilities
Strengthening and supporting the development team, building software that helps to protect the lives and homes of our customers
Writing clean, scalable code using C# .NET Core
Writing code and develop according to business and user needs
Evaluating new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security and metrics
Remaining up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding
Writing unit and integration tests to cover functionality and reduce regressions
Mentoring junior developers and new team members
Coordinating with product owners, developers and architects
Solving complex development problems and technical challenges - through innovative approaches and problem solving
Who are you?
You have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5 years of experience as a Backend Developer
Proficient in spoken and written English
C# and.NET Core knowledge
Thorough experience with microservices and APIs (REST and event-based)
Experience writing backend service consumed by IOS/Android apps
Experience with Agile methodologies
SQL and Azure Service Bus knowledge
Automation and integration testing experience
A valid work permit in the EU.
Additionally, the following are nice to have (but not essential):
Knowledge of the Azure ecosystem
DevOps and Terraform experience
Expertise with CI/CD and test automation
NoSQL databases (eg CosmosDB) knowledge
