If you have a strong background in technical accounting and a passion for navigating complex financial challenges, we eagerly await your application!ResponsibilitiesLead the development, implementation, and communication of accounting policies, ensuring compliance with US GAAP across our global businessMonitor communications from regulatory bodies, accounting firms and other external sources to remain apprised of new accounting practices and regulations, frequent areas of focus for SEC staff comment letters, and interpretive accounting and disclosure guidance and provide guidance regarding potential impacts to operational and reporting processes as well as financial results.Serve as a resource regarding appropriate and consistent application of accounting policies.Assist in the preparation or review of financial statements & footnotesBecome the go-to source on company wide accounting policies and our in-house technical accounting expertAnalyze and provide guidance on accounting and SEC reporting considerations for complex accounting topics including: stock based compensation, M&A/purchase accounting, non-gaap financial measures, and other significant unusual transactionsBe responsible for stock based compensation accounting and some other more complex technical accounting journal entriesActively participate and partner with business leads and accounting team to assist in decision making while maintaining accounting compliancePrepare accounting position memos and work with external auditors to develop and build alignment around accounting conclusionsPrepare accounting calculations, journal entries and disclosures related to stock based compensation.Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company, including ESGSupport SOX implementation and compliancePrepare interim and annual disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred8-10 years experience professional experience with a mix of audit and experience in one, or more of the following: Technical accounting for a public filer, SEC reporting for a public filer, Audit firm's National practice, relevant Advisory experienceSome familiarity with IFRS is a plusIPO experience is a plusActive CPA licenseStrong technical accounting expertise. Experience in US GAAP technical accounting research and drafting technical accounting position memos. You love to get technical!Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to drive to conclusions on technical matters and convey complex concepts to a variety of audiences, including our auditors, management and business partners.Strategic business partner.
