SBGM was created with the aim of being a center of excellence in the management of operations that require a high degree of specialization.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As an Operations Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for management and the timely settlement of security trades (Fixed Income and Equities). The role is client/broker/internal stakeholders facing and offers many opportunities for career advancement. This is a highly dynamic role in a fast-paced environment where the manager and their team are required to adapt to the changing needs of our clients and the business.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
To be a reference in a team in charge of timely settlement of all securities transactions (fixed income and equities) across global markets in accordance with the various settlement and funding deadlines.Identify, analyze and resolve issues and problems throughout trade life cycle, in a timely manner.Deal with clients directly to resolve trade issues and/or escalates as required.Provide support and deliver operational processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of securities and trade transactions are booked correctly in systems for clean downstream settlement.Act as a subject matter expert and take part in the development and successful implementation of systems, processes and relevant projects changes for the Securities Ops group.Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.Accountable for the department's identification, assessment, monitoring and control of risk issues including knowledge transfer.Analyze and close any gaps in implementing process/procedure changes in the Securities Settlements Ops team.Identify and implement internal and external best practices, leveraging technology to enable efficiencies and continuous improvements in process delivery.Participate/lead process/system continuous improvement initiatives.Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.EXPERIENCE +4 years of relevant experience.EDUCATION Post-secondary degree in related field of study (business admin. or similar).SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Fixed income and equities product knowledge; experience in the Financial Services environment; knowledge of equities and fixed income settlement and deadlines.Analytical and problem solving; strong communication (verbal & written); ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment; risk management mindset; good problem solver; results oriented; collaboration & team skills, with a focus on cross-group collaboration; prioritization skills; detail oriented.PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business.Technological knowledge in terms of process reengineering, engineer profile, with knowledge in programming languages.Spoken and written English.OTHER INFORMATION Programming knowledge in Python and SQL queries.If you want to know more about us, follow us on LinkedIn.
