Location: Barcelona City: Barcelona State: Barcelona (ES-B) Country: Spain (ES) Requisition Number: 37734 BUNGE has an exciting opportunity available for a SAFETY MANAGER (Temporary Role) in Barcelona.
In this role, you will lead the effective safety management and drive the process of improving the level of Safety Culture at the facility while ensuring compliance with Local and Bunge safety rules, regulations, standards, and introducing sustainable safety solutions and initiatives to mitigate risks related to our production processes, logistics, maintenance operations, and office jobs present at the site.
Some responsibilities are: Define, implement, and monitor an effective process of managing legal compliance and safety management system (ISO 45001).
Translate/deploy Bunge Global & European safety standards into effective and practical local processes, procedures, and practices.
Lead the BPS (Bunge Production System) safety pillar.
Lead and drive the HOP (Human Organization Performance) approach.
Lead the Bunge Stand for Safety campaign on the local level.
Support the journey of building and reaching the maturity level of safety culture based on conducted safety culture assessments.
Develop, refresh when necessary, and sustain an effective process of reporting safety proactive indicators and embed the Safety Pyramid concept in all levels of the organization.
Ensure effective reporting and investigation of accidents and process incidents, support investigations, and coach teams on good quality of RCA.
Establish and support Leadership safety skills, coach them, and ensure they can effectively lead safety in their respective areas of responsibility.
Conduct regular safety inspections and coach local leaders on safety skills and behavior.
Analyze the needs for safety training, deliver safety training, and follow up on its effectiveness.
Follow up on GRC inspections and ensure proper fire fighting and Atex compliance.
Support Bunge Process Safety approach and follow up on EPSA audits.
Define the process, support, and follow up on Job Hazards Analysis.
Actively participate in the safety planning of projects and ensure safe execution with the implementation of Bunge Global Construction Safety Standard.
Participate in Fatality Prevention Audit and follow up on identified areas of improvements.
Develop and assure effectiveness of contractor's management system, including the auditing process.
Support/justify CAPEX projects for Safety and implement Bunge Construction Safety Standard.
Actively participate in safety networking within Bunge organization.
Perform effective reviews of actions follow up, including those related to fatal accidents.
Develop and implement safety innovations and new safety initiatives to strengthen local safety culture.
We are looking for different skills in our ideal candidate: University degree from a related field of study.
Experience in OHSAS 18001 & ISO 45001.
Approximately 5 years of experience in a safety position in the production facility of an international organization.
Knowledge about safety culture and modern safety practices.
Good command of both written and spoken English.
Able to travel when required.
Problem-solving skills, planning and organization, as well as analytical thinking capability.
Ability to work in a team and strong interpersonal skills.
Result-oriented, ability to make decisions and influence others.
Leadership skills and experience.
