The "CICA - Interdisciplinary Centre of Chemistry and Biology" at the UDC was recognized in 2024 as a Research Centre of the Galician University System (SUG), joining as a research center of excellence to the CIGUS Network of the Xunta de Galicia. The CICA currently has 30 affiliated research groups. The mission of CICA is focused on three strategic thematic areas: Biomedicine (BMed); Food, Contamination and Health (ACeS); and Nanoscience and Advanced Materials (NeMA). The accreditation and integration of CICA into the Galician CIGUS Network necessitates dedicated support and oversight functions. Additionally, strategic positioning efforts are essential for CICA to maintain and enhance its distinct scientific preeminence within the research landscape of Galicia. One of the pivotal elements for CICA in this upcoming period is the fortification of the center's research and development (R&D) management and support framework. This initiative aims to cultivate a more specialized structure, harmonizing with the exemplary management paradigms of leading research institutions within the region. This contract is funded through the "Grants for the certification, organization, improvement, and support to research centers of the Galician University System, co-financed in the framework of the operational programme Feder Galicia 2021-2027".TASKSThey shall be linked to the Center's Management Office, reporting to the management, and shall consist, among others, of providing support and collaborating in the following tasks:Technical secretariat management supportSupport to the technical staff of the CICA's Management OfficeSupport for the management of the grant of research centres of the CIGUS Network: control of the aid and monitoring of the budget, eligible expenses, economic justifications...Support for the management of the centre's research human resourcesCollaboration and support in the organization of activities (seminars, conferences, visits, dissemination of science...)Collaboration for improved task management and automationAssistance in the optimization of CICA resources and reportingCollaboration in the preparation of reports and other CICA documents/regulations
