The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automation testing using Playwright, with a focus on UI, API, visual, and accessibility (a11y) tests, as well as manual testing activities including test plan creation, test case design, test cycle management, and bug tracking. You don't need to know every technology, but you're an enthusiastic creator who stays current and looks forward to trying new code. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Here's what you can expect on a typical day: Write and advise on high-quality, efficient, and maintainable automation scripts. Automate functional and non-functional requirements across the code, UI and services scripts. You'll create test plans, test cases, and scenarios for large-scale, complex software applications. You will focus on the verification and validation of applications from an end-user perspective. Also conduct manual testing activities, including exploratory testing, to ensure software quality. Working in two-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and testing/coding standards. Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could work on anything from migrations to delivering new features, product enhancements, or creating new services. You're always learning new codes and eager to figure things out as you learn. We're working on products with tech that we've never used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution. You'll work in a continuous development environment using Git/Bitbucket and automatic build and testing. You have 2-5 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2 to 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing using Playwright and also in Manual Testing Experience with a programming language such as Javascript, Typescript. Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and visual testing tools. Familiarity with accessibility testing standards (e.g., WCAG) and tools (e.g., Axe, Pa11y). Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test cycle documentation. Proficiency in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using Playwright for UI, API, visual, and accessibility testing. Collaborate with developers to ensure testability of features and implement best practices in test automation. Analyze test results, report issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve defects. Manual Testing: Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements. Conduct manual testing activities, including exploratory testing, to ensure software quality. Manage test cycles and track progress, ensuring thorough documentation of test results. Regression Testing: Perform regression testing for new releases and ensure that existing functionalities remain intact. Develop and execute manual tests for functionalities that are not yet automated. Defect Management: Log, track, and prioritize defects in the issue tracking system. Verify defect fixes and conduct re-testing to ensure quality standards are met. Communicate findings and provide status updates to stakeholders. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and design, to understand requirements and deliver quality products.
