The offerWe are currently looking for a Python developer to join RavenPack. As a backend developer, you will focus on building reliable systems as you participate in developing and supporting one of our most innovative cloud-based products.
What will you do?First monthDuring your onboarding process, you will have scheduled meetings with the primary stakeholders of the various teams. This will give you an overall comprehension of all company products in context with the projects you will be working on.
You will join in the scrum ceremonies, and through activities like pair programming and code reviews, you will be involved in solving real issues from the beginning.
After 3 monthsAt this moment you will have enough product and project domain-related exposure for creating production-ready application code and see your changes in action.
You will also be able to perform your own deployments that will deliver your changes to different services and environments.
6 months inYou will have obtained deep experience and knowledge about the projects and you have become a key member of the team.
You participate in the development of backend microservices, including the creation of the application code and providing good test coverage.
You take ownership of the architecture components created and provide them with support, monitoring, and maintenance.
You work together with the QA team to make sure that everything is tested from the functional point of view.
What must you have?Fluent in development with Python.
Have experience with creating REST APIs using libraries like Flask, FastAPI, or similar.
Be ready to work out of your comfort zone and have the desire for continuous improvement and continuous learning.
Have an innate desire to learn and teach, excelling in teamwork.
Hands-on experience with relational and no-SQL databases.
What will be appreciated?Be familiar with creating backend microservices in the cloud using platforms like AWS.
Experience with querying document-oriented & search databases like Elasticsearch, Vespa, Solr, or equivalent.
Experience with software testing methodologies.
Knowledge of CICD orchestration tools like Jenkins.
You are eager to improve and have developed side projects.
You have tackled high availability and scalability issues.
