managementProject controlling and project reportingContract management incl. claim managementStakeholder managementOpportunity and risk managementOrganization and management of project teamCommunication and knowledge managementMain TasksAcquisition and order negotiationParticipation in the sales / project initiation phase, by analyzing customer requirements and checking their technical feasibility and transferability into a bid or project cost planCarry out or attend contract negotiationsEnsure the use of Siemens products, where available and applicableEnsure compliance with the corresponding LoA process, where applicableCheck the project costing for financial efficiencyInvolve the corresponding partners in the sales / project initiation phaseProject organization and managementEnsure that the order entry calculation is done and documentedEnsure that all plan elements (e.g. system structure, WBS, etc.) are taken into account in the sales / project initiation phaseHandle all PM@Siemens-related plan elements and milestone results according to the project categoryPrepare and maintain the Siemens project management planManage the project within the defined financial targets (budget, target costing, target profit)Prepare the project manager target agreementOptimize project profitability and ensuring business successImplement procedures to resolve questions and problems (identification, analysis, measures and monitoring) with all relevant internal and external partnersInvolve Procurement at an early stage in line with the applicable Siemens procurement guidelinesPlan the procurement strategy (in local Procurement entity) with the business manager and procurement department of the respective organizational unitsEnsure that all procurement activities comply with the applicable processes and regulationsSelect subcontractors / partnersSelect and involve subcontractors / partners in accordance with the defined criteriaMonitor the performance of subcontractors / partners, escalate issues in good time (e.g. quality defects or problems in cooperation) and initiate appropriate measures in good time in the event of any non-conformitiesInitiate invoicing in accordance with project progressOrganize acceptance testing and project handover to contracted partner(s)Define procedures and requirements for quality management (audits, quality seals, acceptance tests) in accordance with the applicable quality management regulations and standardsManage regular project review meetings and organize the milestone prerequisitesManage the acceptance of supplies and services, subject to quality checksDocument all work results in line with the applicable standardsProject controlling and reportingOptimize the project cash flow and assetsEnsure the regular controlling of finances and regular reporting on financesEnsure compliance with the IFRS (International Finance and Reporting Standards)Continuously monitor project status, taking the IFRS into consideration, identify any non-conformities in good time and initiate specific counter measures where applicableIdentify and minimize non-compliance costsNotify customers, management and the project team at an early stage in the event of any non-conformitiesContract management incl. claim managementWith international (cross-border) projects: Synchronize the contract structure with the tax action plan and delegation conceptIdentify, drive, defend and reduce claims in good timeFulfill the contract and close the project in accordance with contractual and in-house regulationsNegotiate with subcontractors / partners on the basis of defined requirements and enter into compensation agreements according to the customer contractDefine and agree the strategy to enforce / reduce / defend claims with stakeholdersInvolve the project team in the process of identifying changes and claimsEvaluate contracts for claim relevance, ensure that they are checked by legal expertsImplement the strategy to enforce / reduce claimsOpportunity and risk managementIdentify and assess all risk factors using the available risk assessment tools throughout the projectEnsure that the results of risk surveys and compliance risk surveys are duly taken into consideration in contracts and calculationsElaborate suitable strategies for minimizing (eliminating, reducing) risksEnsure that all risks are identified and monitored (including Compliance)Identify opportunities for further business with the partner(s)Work together with line experts to exploit opportunitiesCommunicate with internal contacts across organizational borders on opportunities for further improvementsIdentify / create additional opportunities from ongoing projectsEnsure that risks are monitored in all project phasesIdentify, assess and implement all opportunities to improve results throughout the projectAssess risks with respect to their impact on organizational units, define measures and ensure escalation in good timeStakeholder managementEnsure efficient communication with all stakeholdersNegotiate with stakeholders on requests for changes and incorporate them into contractsElaborate and implement strategies to strengthen customer relations and market positionActively collect information on the customer and customer requirements / goalsInvolve the customer in decision-making and provide information to customers on a regular basisExperience & Knowledge required.Degree in Engineering or equivalent.Comprehensive (deep and broad) professional know-how and experience in Project Management for International/multicultural teams railway projects.Proven experience with Microsoft project / Microsoft project OnLine.Technical knowledge of signaling railways systems: knowledge on Main Line and Mass Transit systems solutions and fundaments.Knowledge of railway safety regulations: CENELEC 50126, CENELEC 50128 and CENELEC 50129.5 years of experience in railway signalling company as a Project Manager.Experience on Site works management.Advance technical knowledge of Signalling interlocking, ERTMS, and Centralized Traffic Control systems.
