Job Position: Project Leader Location: Santiago de Compostela LUZA Group is hiring for a client in the sustainable aquaculture sector, focusing on logistics, distribution, and aquaculture opportunities.
Mission: Efficiently manage projects to meet desired outcome and ensure the clients business strategy. This includes, managing stakeholders communications, correctly assessing risks and mitigating them and evaluating all possible solutions to ensure desired outcome is met.
Main objectives: Efficiently plan, execute, and close projects to meet their defined objectives, leading project reviews, escalating risk and problems, meeting compliance standards Communicate effectively with all interested parties, especially the designated steering committee Lead the team, ensuring correct level of alignment to goals and motivation towards goal Use the clients project management system and meet its high-quality standards Support a positive feedback culture, ensuring effective oversight and continuous improvement Respect the work instructions according to the Quality and Environment System. Tasks: Lead the project in all its phases: Defining clear objectives. Creating detailed plans that outline scope, schedule, resources, and budget requirements. Ensuring high-quality standards throughout the project life-cycle. Cost control to avoid overruns and ensure cost efficiency; report on budget regularly with manager and Financial Controller. Risk Management and Compliance. Coordinate and motivate the project team, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications. Train the team on the Project Management system, ensuring clear understanding of expectations at each stage. Address misalignments and resolve issues, acting as a mediator to keep the project on track and achieve its objectives. Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring clear, transparent, and accurate updates. Set up a reporting tool, calendar, and KPIs for the project, providing timely reports to the steering committee and ensuring any changes from meetings are communicated to the team and Engineering and Maintenance Manager. Identify relevant stakeholders and tailor communication to meet their needs regarding timing and content. Continuous Improvement: Documenting lessons learned and best practices to improve future project performance. Requirements: Training and Education Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marine Sciences, Aquaculture, Food Science or related fields. Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar). Training in continuous improvement methodology. Highly valuable to have training in Lean Manufacturing systems. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale projects. It is highly-valuable that these projects are in aquaculture, food and beverages or related sectors. Proficient in planning, resource, and budget management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with widely-used project management systems to ensure efficiency and highly valuable work experience in Lean Manufacturing systems. Other Considerations: Fluency in Spanish and English, other languages are a plus. Location: Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. Must be available for short-term travel, both national and international. 40-hour workweek with flexible scheduling.
