We believe in collaboration, delivering on our promises and that people make the difference.Kalmar Spain is seeking a Mechanical or Structural Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in STS Cranes preferably (or other heavy mobile machines) to be part of his Engineering Department situated in Algeciras, Spain, to act as Project Engineer for the different projects that Kalmar Spain is running around the region covered by its Offices (SEMEA region).The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary and international team, sothe domain of English is a must. Due to the nature of the works, the candidate has to be open to travel abroad for a certain period of time, which will depend on the needs of the project.The position is based in Algeciras but it will require travel to different countries within EMEA area.You will be reporting to our Country Director, Spain.Main tasks and responsibilities Structural Calculations and Structural designs for Cranes Modifications projectsMechanism calculation (motor, gearbox, rope drums, wire ropes, others)Revise and perform manufacturing drawings for the designsPrepare the quality control documentation for the project (Inspection Test Plan) for the steel construction executionSupervise and monitor the steel manufacturing process and external company's works when neededGive support to the specifications for technical purchasesHeld external and internal technical meetingsAssist the site team when needed, travelling to the site when needed.What you'll need to succeed We're looking for someone who has the capacity and ability to adapt to the changes, priorities,and tight schedules.Ideally you have:Qualifications and Experience:MSc / BSc degree in Mechanical/Structural EngineeringAt least 3 years of Experience in Similar Position and SimilarIndustry Experience supervising steel construction on-site and mobile cranes maneuvers with heavy structuresKnowledge in steel structure design, manufacturing, and calculationMaster degree or complementary education in Finite element Analysis will be highly appreciatedSkills in FEM Analysis software such as Solid works Simulation, ANSYS, SAP2000 will be appreciatedFull Command of English is a mustFluent Spanish Spoken and WrittenAdvanced Skills in CAD software, (2D/3D)Windows Office / Google standard package (excel, word, etc...).Methodical and good in DetailsAnalytical SkillsResponsible, able to make decisions independently, and capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlinesStrong problem-solving capacity and abilityAbility to take new projects and responsibilities with minimal guidance and to understand key drivers/trends of the businessTeam Working Capacity and Ability
