This role is pivotal in overseeing risk associated with core banking system implementations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and mitigating operational, technical, and financial risks effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesLead risk management activities throughout core banking system implementations, focusing on operational, technical, regulatory, and financial risks.Apply comprehensive knowledge of banking processes, products, and services, particularly in retail and commercial banking operations, to assess and manage risks effectively.Consult and collaborate closely with Group Operational Risk Management (2nd line) to align risk management strategies and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Implement and oversee risk control frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II, COBIT, and ISO 27001 to mitigate risks effectively during system implementations.Communicate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including project managers, IT teams, business units, and external vendors to integrate risk management practices seamlessly within the project lifecycle.Utilize project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMP to integrate risk management activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated in a timely manner.Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes7-10 years of hands-on experience in risk management within the financial services industry, specifically focusing on IT or system implementations.In-depth understanding of banking processes, products, and services, with expertise in retail and commercial banking operations.Proven track record in managing risks associated with core banking system implementations, covering operational, technical, regulatory, and financial aspects.Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements applicable to banking systems, ensuring compliance and adherence throughout project lifecycles.Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve project objectives
