Contract Working hours Full Time Work site Production Manager The Company: Founded in 2016, Amuse Animation is a digital-first animation studio based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with offices in Paris, London, and Beijing.
The company focuses on two primary business streams: incubating original IPs created by the studio or in partnership with toy and content creators; and third-party service work for 2D & 3D animation.
Its catalog of original productions comprises 30+ self-funded preschool properties in 25+ languages cumulating over 600 million views per month, three audio stories, and 13 gaming apps with 20+ million downloads and 680k+ monthly active users per app.
Our Mission: At Amuse Animation, our goal is to create 360 universes that entertain, educate, and inspire young audiences worldwide.
Our creative process revolves around putting the audience at the forefront and utilizing cutting-edge technologies to produce and share our content globally.
To do so, we analyze and recombine the elements that generate intrigue, engagement, and impact to create unique original content.
By leveraging innovative technologies and accessing the best resources globally, we establish an efficient workflow that is cost-effective, maintains high quality, and enables the agility to quickly launch new ideas and integrate audience feedback.
Our ultimate aim is to distribute our content through all touchpoints and connect with our audience wherever they may be.
We are currently looking for a Production Manager to oversee multiple international projects reporting to the Head of Studios.
KEY DUTIES: Contribute to develop best practices and improve production processes in partnership with the Production Efficiency Supervisor.
Provide support to set/maintain guidelines, goals, and good performance.
Manage and develop employees and creative operations.
Work with HR Manager and Outsourcing Manager to hire new members of the team.
Oversee and work with IT Manager / CG Supervisor departments for internal goals and project-related needs (rendering, security, plug-ins, scaling studio, deliveries).
General housekeeping of daily and weekly tasks of overseeing budgets, invoices, and timesheets with the production team.
Coordinate technical onboarding of new hires.
Lead the weekly production meeting and provide reports/metrics.
Assess project and resource requirements.
Estimate, negotiate, and agree on budgets and timescales with clients in collaboration with the Head of Studio.
Determine quality control standards and apply them to direct reports.
Oversee production processes, detect improvement needs, and work closely with the Pipeline and technical team.
Re-negotiate timescales or schedules as necessary.
Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment and pipeline in collaboration with the IT Team.
Liaise with buyers and marketing and sales staff when required.
Organize relevant training sessions related to business and individual needs.
ABOUT YOU: Previous experience: - 5 years minimum experience in a 3D and/or 2D animation company.
Languages: - Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral in English and Spanish.
Production management: - Advanced skills in Gantt pro, Google Drive, SHOTGUN, and other task management software.
Your skills: - Strong management skills.
Possesses natural leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate accordingly.
- Does not shy from diplomatic conflict resolution/management.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and think ahead, as well as be highly collaborative.
- Ability to multitask and supervise multiple ongoing projects, budgets, and timelines.
- Interest and passion in operations oversight, including front desk.
- Passion for fostering young artists (creative interns) and production coordinators.
General information: - Starting date: Mid November desired.
- Job location: Present in Las Palmas.
- Working shift: Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 06.00, Friday 08.00 to 14.00.
- Contract: Permanent/long term.
