Amentum is seeking a qualified Production Controller Management Analyst, with a logistics background, to compile and analyze data for reports, support logistical and clerical tasks, manage material procurement and disposal, and ensure compliance with various military and civilian standards.
The position supports the planning, execution, and oversight of ship repair and fleet technical support tasks across multiple regions and provides critical logistical coordination for materials and equipment.
Responsibilities Data Compilation and Reporting Compile data from systems such as NMD, FTS, MFOM, SQL-based Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and shared drives.
Create and maintain reports and spreadsheets for use in meetings and conferences.
Clerical and Administrative Tasks Transcribe and type inter/intra-office reports and correspondence.
Schedule and participate in meetings and teleconferences.
Process FTS jobs for ship equipment repair and fleet technical support.
Prepare weekly planning status reports, including adherence to milestones and lessons learned.
CASREP Tracking and Communication Accurately track CASREP statuses and ensure seamless job handling transitions between regions.
Work Specification and Procurement Support Assist in developing work specifications, cost estimates, and material requirements.
Monitor and ensure the quality assurance standards are incorporated into specifications.
Standardize and codify terminology in the Master Specification Catalogue.
Long-Range Planning Develop and support long-range plans for workload schedules.
Conduct work specification package turnovers, including detailed documentation of plans, specifications, and Government Furnished Material (GFM).
Logistics Coordination Coordinate customs approval for materials entering commercial ports.
Ensure waivers from Spanish import taxes and duties in accordance with the Agreement on Defense Cooperation.
Manage contractor-held residual material and coordinate the move of ready-for-issue Contractor Furnished Material (CFM) to NAVSUP.
Hazmat and Scrap Disposal Coordinate hazardous material and scrap disposal with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Screen material for demilitarization, precious metals recovery, and other special considerations.
Work with Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) for material purchased through MRQT.
Procurement Oversight Support project teams in assessing ship repair contractor expenditures and material procurement.
Qualifications Proficiency in using Navy systems such as NMD, FTS, MFOM, and other database and report generation tools.
Experience with logistics coordination and customs processes.
Knowledge of ship repair and maintenance processes, including material procurement and disposal.
Strong organizational and clerical skills, including report preparation and scheduling.
Ability to analyze specifications and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Familiarity with U.S. Navy procedures for material management and disposal.
Must have an active secret US government clearance.
Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications (not required) Previous experience working in a ship repair or naval logistics environment.
Understanding of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) processes.
Proficiency in coordinating international logistics, including customs and tax waivers.
Experience with hazardous material disposal and management.
Knowledge of military agreements, such as the Agreement on Defense Cooperation.
Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders across military and civilian organizations.
