Our research lines focus on the newly-discovered physical and chemical properties that arise from the behaviour of matter at the nanoscale. ICN2 has been awarded with the Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence distinction for three consecutive periods (2014-2018 and 2018-2022 and 2023-2026). ICN2 comprises 19 Research Groups, 7 Technical Development and Support Units and Facilities, and 2 Research Platforms, covering different areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Job Title: Product ManagerResearch area or group: Advanced Electron NanoscopyDescription of Group/Project:LightNET Carbon Capture is an ICN2 spin-off for capturing CO2 at the emission point and/or from the atmosphere. LightNET products will capture CO2 directly from the air at a record low cost. Our circular products are made of km0, earth abundant and environmentally friendly nanostructured engineered CO2 capturing coatings, masonry and fillers which essentially are composed of common and cheap building materials to build XXI century carbon negative cities. LightNET works at both room/high temperature and at much higher CO2 concentrations, thus it can also be applied to capture CO2 from industry at large at the emission point. You will be reporting directly to the CEO and CSO. Your post will be at ICN2 (Barcelona) and/or ITC (Castelló) with high flexibility of hours and days. Spin-off participation possibility.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:Manage different spin-off projects, including coordination with operating technologies area.Management of technical projects, including coordination with ICN2 (Barcelona) and ICT (Castelló).Help to define and execute the strategy for Business Intelligence.Client relationship management with accountability on the client satisfaction.Project production with accountability on the deliverable's quality.Continuous optimization of production processes to boost operational efficiency.Development of the CO2 projects portfolio to answer internal client needs.Help the business to present the approach and/or conclusions in a comprehensive manner even for non-Carbon Capture specialists.Develop the tools to help the business to identify unpredicted results and highlight new opportunities.Requirements:Education: Engineering or other related studies plus studies/know-how in entrepreneurial or/and MBA.Knowledge and Professional Experience:Proven experience in research and/or venture development. Solid experience in project management, including project team coordination. Strong data analytics technical skills. Proven experience in bibliographic research and reporting (e.g. publishing). Fluent English both spoken and written.
