Ecolab is currently seeking a Procurement Representative (Temporary Position) to join our team in Barcelona, Spain and provide category support to the Equipment Category.
Key Responsibilities: Manages day-to-day activities within designated supplier relationships for existing suppliers in their assigned categories. Manages service level and quality complaint resolution as required for existing supplier base. Identifies, communicates, and supports process improvements for materials or services in assigned areas and with key stakeholders as required. Uses TDC sourcing processes and tools to effectively manage assigned sub-categories. Responsible for execution and proposing sourcing strategies and savings projects within assigned sub-categories. Acts as second line of defense in expediting orders to ensure adherence to contracted delivery terms and investigates and resolves problems as required. Identifies alternate suppliers and/or alternate materials/processes and drives approval process. Owns contract process for assigned category. Responsibility for ensuring contracts within the category are updated, accurate, and uploaded in the required contract system. Responsible for financial reporting of savings projects and headwinds. Manages the tight materials process to ensure security of supply. Support Ecolab's quality systems through engagement with suppliers to work toward successful corrective action resolution and continued quality. Leads savings projects, TDC sourcing process or other initiatives that supports achieving team goals. Manages and leads the tail vendors and work on the consolidation projects. Collaborates with global sourcing teams. Manages the Capex projects and maintain the system. Support the team on the overdue invoices understanding the root cause and take actions to resolve them and avoid in the future. Education and Professional Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field. Academic qualification in Sourcing and/or Negotiation. Advanced English level is a must; another European language is a plus. 3+ years of experience in International Sourcing. Technical background and/or experience in manufacturing processes is preferred. Competencies: Procurement knowledge and strategic mindset. Strong problem solving and critical thinking. Adaptative negotiator with demonstrated experiences in different situations. Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills that are critical in a team-driven, multi-functional environment. Demonstrated competitive drive, results oriented and passionate for achievement.
