The candidate will be part of the MArine RESearch in ecological and social systems (MARES) research group in the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA).Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Postdoctoral Researcher at IMEDEA in Esporles.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, data analysis, and spreading activities as part of their daily tasks.
The candidate should address a gap in the ongoing research carried out at the Institute, contributing expertise in the development of culture media for marine plants and to expand current knowledge about disinfection methods for in vitro culture.Essential knowledge/skillsA PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.Knowledge and proven experience in laboratory work and in vitro culture procedures.Proven ability to publish research in peer-reviewed journals.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Good knowledge of written and oral English.Creative, solution-oriented, and open to challenges.Desirable knowledgeKnowledge on marine plants physiology.Contract and funding: The contract will extend for 14 months.
