Offer Description
Migration and completion of the INUNGAMA database to FLOODGAMA: Refine, consolidate and complete data migration to ensure full FLOODGAMA functionality.
Support in the development of an AI tool for the completion of press releases: Contribute to the design and implementation of an artificial intelligence tool for the automatic completion of press releases relevant to FLOODGAMA, ensuring consistency with FLOODGAMA's internal structure.
Integration of meteorological fields in FLOODGAMA: Collect and integrate meteorological information into FLOODGAMA, maintaining the internal consistency of the database.
Development of a predictive impact model: Develop and implement a predictive impact model based on the inference of relationships between the meteorological and socioeconomic data available in FLOODGAMA, as well as from other sources, such as Copernicus. Explore different methodologies of relational inference at various spatial scales, from global connections (teleconnections) to local factors such as topography and population density.
Minimum Requirements
Doctorate in Physics or Mathematics. Postdoctoral experience in data science and engineering, machine learning, big data and theory and application of complex systems.
Specific Requirements
Competence in scientific and database programming (Python, SQL, R).
Experience in international projects, dissemination and outreach.
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
Leadership of scientific publications.
Having been a Marie Curie, Marie Zambrano or similar researcher.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary professional environment.
Ability to work on projects, with skills aimed at effective and efficient problem solving.
Languages: ENGLISH Level Good

Duration of the contract of employment: 7 months, renewable up to 30/11/2025.
