.DescripciónThe Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. It will be positively valued if this experience is accredited in scientific, research and health-related areas.Broad reading, synthesis and analysis skills are essential, as well as writing and editing complex texts in Spanish and English.Multitask, including high-level political, scientific and social meetings, as well as in daily technical and management work.Proactivity and skills to prioritize and reconcile multiple tasks with minimal supervision.RESPONSABILITIESParticipation in the daily activity and projects of ISGlobal's Policy and Advocacy teams, under the direct supervision of the coordinators of both teams and the general supervision of the Director of Policy & Development.MAIN TASKSParticipate in the preparation of policy analysis documents in the different scientific fields worked on in the institution.Document and, where appropriate, participate in meetings with external interlocutors of the organization reporting their results.Prepare and contribute to internal reports and notes to promote debates around internal positions in the organization and for the definition and monitoring of political advocacy strategies.Organize events, workshops and other political advocacy actions, including logistics, identification of relevant actors, or proposal of dynamics and content, among others.COMPETENCIESMaster's degree in social sciences, politics, law, health sciences, public health or similar.Experience of at least 3 years in the field of political advocacy, or research in the sectors of global health, social action or development cooperation.Demonstrable skills in writing scientific-technical texts and/or political and journalistic analysis.Languages: a level of Spanish and English is essential that allows daily work in either language.
