Position Overview: An exciting new opportunity has opened up as Plant Controller for our JIT Plant in Burgos Ara.
Our Plant Controller will be the first line manager for all controlling topics in the plant, managing the Finance team, implementing and maintaining internal controls, and reporting key plant performance information.
This role requires accurately forecasting the plant's future performance and driving forecasting improvements, acting as a business partner supporting the plant management team to achieve key targets (Sales, O.I, Free Cash Flow, CapEx, Headcount, and Inventory).
Key Responsibilities: Work as an integral part of the Plant Finance and Management team providing support and control to the Ara plant.
Responsibility for all aspects of corporate and internal reporting to ensure adherence to timetables, financial integrity, and completeness.
Management and completion of month-end processes including variance analysis.
Reporting plant performance (actual, budgets, forecasts, variance walks) through HFM.
Preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts (profit and loss, cashflow, and balance sheet).
Management of the Ara Finance team and liaising with the dedicated GBS Accounting Team.
Management of key KPIs including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging.
Pursuing Continuous Improvements to financial controls and other operational processes within the business.
Judgmental Reserves Schedules and Accrued Liabilities reporting.
SOX Testing Reviews and presentation to the Divisional Financial Controller.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation Reviews.
Product Profitability Analysis and Reviews.
Working closely with external auditors for year-end and interim audit work, internal audit FOAs, and Balance Sheet reviews.
To review, maintain, and implement internal controls including quarterly SOX testing.
Development of direct report heads to achieve personal and professional goals, also supporting the longer-term succession plan.
To complete ad hoc tasks as and when required.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Very good Excel skills.
Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
Accounting knowledge and experience in preparation of financial statements.
Proficient analytical skills, ability to synthesize the data.
Reliability in meeting the committed timetable.
University degree and at least 4-5 years of experience in controlling, audit, or reporting position.
Knowledge of HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) application will be further a plus.
SAP experience is a plus.
Experience in automotive or manufacturing business environment will be a plus.
Knowledge of USGAAP will be an asset.
