At our location in Visp, in the canton of Valais, we are constantly looking for Operators Biotechnologists in order to support our growth in several business units.
Key responsibilities: Assignment in various functions within the production facilities in compliance with safety regulations and consideration of cGMP quality requirements.Execution of production steps (mammalian USP and DSP) incl. recording and calculations.Ensure proper accountability for all materials, documentation, and required equipment.The production operator will work designated shifts 24/7 to execute the GMP process, adhering to high quality and safety standards. The operator will ensure compliance with Lonza's procedures and policies, following good manufacturing practices (GMP) and documentation requirements. All activities will be carried out in accordance with GMP/cGMP standards.Pharmaceutical manufacturing activities on a 10,000-liter scale, including process activities in the cell culture stage from freezing to harvest, and in the purification stage from harvest to final filling in an aseptic cleanroom environment. This includes operating bioreactors, storage tanks, chromatography skids, and other systems used in the biotech industry.Willing to work in compliance with EHS procedures to ensure a safe working environment, using appropriate PPE and following standard protocols during manufacturing activities.Key requirements: Professional experience in pharmaceutical production as an operator/production technician is desired.Safety-conscious work.Fluent English is required.Willingness to work in shifts (e.g. 4-shift pattern).Ability to quickly acquire knowledge through critical thinking, analytical skills, and strong organizational abilities.A proactive attitude, working in a challenging, organized, and methodical manner, with a focus on adhering to rules and standards.Strong orientation towards active learning, with a readiness to tackle tasks and challenges and committed, with integrity, honesty, motivation, and clear, concise communication skills. A willingness to contribute to continuous improvement and development.Relocation to Visp, Switzerland is required for this position.
