The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy, and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ISGlobal is looking for a predoctoral researcher to work in the SUSTAIN-MOBILISE-D project, a 2-year private-public consortium aiming to measure and validate digital mobility outcomes in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and hip fracture.
MAIN DUTIES AND TASKS Perform statistical analysis of clinical cohort data of people with neurological and respiratory diseases.
Perform statistical analysis of high-resolution mobility data (e.g., body sensors data).
Interpret and discuss the results with other SUSTAIN-MOBILISE-D members.
Provide statistical support to the researchers of the team.
Participate in protocol writing and statistical analysis plan elaboration.
SECONDARY TASKS Contribute to data cleaning and management.
Contribute to scientific publications, reports, and grant applications.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Degree in Biostatistics, Biomedicine, or similar.
Training in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics.
Experience in biomedical data analysis.
Experience in neurologic or respiratory diseases.
Experience in R and Python will be an asset.
SKILLS Team player, yet capable of working autonomously; rational thinker.

SELECTION PROCESS The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation to assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed, any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
