ABOUT THE JOB As a Machine Learning Platform Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that provides a Data Science platform for TUI Group to utilize.
Being an enthusiast in cloud engineering and development, with a strong DevSecOps mindset, and thanks to your excellent collaboration skills, you will work with your team to deliver the best answers to our customers' needs and take over full responsibility for its platform, from design to operation.
You care diligently about the quality of your work, including proper documentation and security aspects.
You will use your deep technical skills to build and run the Data Science platform as part of a team. You will use expertise in developing and operating technical platforms to enable our business development teams to work more efficiently, while at the same time including your machine learning experience. You'll help other teams adopt your platform through direct engagement. You care for operational readiness, ensuring observability of your platform and service. You will continuously improve CI/CD and automation maturity and efficiency. You work hands-on and are able to tackle the whole design, build, test, deploy cycle. You are able to verbalize your thoughts and ideas and take the initiative to translate ideas into outcomes. Together with the teams in the Domains, relevant Practice teams, as well as the Group Enabler teams, you will research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools and help teams to use them effectively. You demonstrate active contribution to Communities of Practice, including collaboration in shared initiatives. You love to work in an international, multi-cultural team. ABOUT YOU Experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment and defining, developing, and rolling out technical operations processes and new services across teams and markets. Desire to build self-service capability for the platform consumers. Proven hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and in managing scaled cloud systems with a focus on solution architecture, using a range of tools and services, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, and security engineering practices. Good experience with AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock, and DataDog. Very knowledgeable with CI/CD, preferably GitLab CI. Experience with the administration of Kubernetes is of high benefit. Proven track record in Data Science projects as a Machine Learning Engineer. Customer-centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services. Passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and great teams. Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills. Understanding of social and ethical implications of software engineering (e.g., as described in the ACM Code of Ethics). Frontend experience in React or similar. Open-minded, inquisitive, life-long learner. Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous.
