The Sales Engineer drives CGTech business growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing key relationships, and implementing sales strategy.
In the role, you will have the following tasks and responsibilities:Perform sales activities, establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and/or prospective customers to maintain renewal business and generate new business for the assigned geographic area, set of named accounts to achieve or exceed revenue objectives;Develop strong customer relationships at all levels (plant engineers, research and technology experts, purchasing managers, and senior management);Prepare and deliver highly-tailored product demonstrations that show a deep understanding of the customer's challenges and how CGTech is the solutions provider;Demonstrate technical expertise and answer related questions to the product, and how it fits into the prospect's existing ecosystem;Create and conduct sales presentations to match customers' required capabilities to achieve their positive business outcomes;Remain knowledgeable and keep abreast of the company's new and existing products/services to facilitate sales efforts;Research sources for developing current and prospective customers to determine their potential;Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers;Create and maintain account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, share, and value opportunities;Maintain accurate sales data and reports within Salesforce (CRM);Provide accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues;Present and leverage key metrics to leadership, key stakeholders, and customers to determine potential;Leverage trade shows and conventions; schedule training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities within current and prospective customer base;Alert clients to new or improved products/services and relay client feedback to product development staff;Prepare quotes and customer implementation plans;Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and competitive position of the company;Other projects and duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceBachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field; 2-4 years of proven experience in sales.
