This is a strategic leadership role within the CTO function, responsible for the LV architecture strategy, roadmap, standards, patterns, policies, framework, governance and risk management. The role of the chief architect is key in ensuring that LV invests in appropriate architecture to enable business growth and align to the published Technology strategy, sympathetic to the business strategy and within LV's risk appetite.The chief architect faces off to internal teams and LV partner architecture and governance functions in collaboration with Third party management to ensure partner architecture services and deliveries are fit for purpose. Responsible for running the LV architecture board (LAB) and is accountable for architecture governance at LAB and technical design authorities. Responsible to the CTO to ensure that architecture as a service is effective within the CTO function. We support Hybrid working but would like to see you in our offices on a regular basis (Bournemouth or Hitchin). Happy to discuss.About you:Proven skills in architecting large, complex solutions, preferably within the Financial Services domain.A wide understanding of different vendor systems, services, IT technologies and their relevance, merits and positioning.Experience working with diverse parties including consultancy firms, outsourcing companies, devops teams, security teams, 3rd party suppliers.Strong analytical skills to deconstruct the enterprise into views of the enterprise technical architecture demonstrating alignment of business and IT strategies to business and technical capabilities.Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to explain and "sell" ideas to senior stakeholders.Strong business acumen, including industry- and domain-specific knowledge of the organisation and its business units.Good knowledge of industry trends and innovation.The ability to collaborate effectively with others on a common task, taking actions considering the views of others. Contributing to and accepting the consensus; influencing and negotiating outcomes to achieve the objectives of the team.Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.Strong risk management.Strong knowledge of security considerations for data centres, cloud, applications, partner integrations.Experience:Proven track record in IT technical architecture, delivery and strategy.Track record of defining and governing architectural change and successful transformation programmes.Experience in the identification and successful adoption of IT technologies that contribute to business success.Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating with vendors an advantage.Details: Define and maintain the LV Architecture strategy and roadmap aligned to IT Strategy and LV business strategy.
