An established catering company in the Orange City, IA area is looking for a line cook to join their growing team! As a line cook, you will lead a team to make the best food they can with authentic recipes. You will work cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary. If you are enthusiastic about cooking and serving people, then this is the job for you!Responsibilities:Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service.Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a way that preserves food freshness, quality, and appeal.Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production.Maintain a safe, tidy, and well-organized work environment at all times.Lead other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately.Once trained, will oversee employees during late night.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.Ability to work in an extremely busy restaurant.High School diploma or equivalent preferred.ServSafe Certification preferred.Benefits & Pay:$15-$18/hr.
