Who We're Looking For:We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer with a strong financial background. This challenging role requires you to have a hands-on approach and wear multiple hats while establishing finance, accounting, and treasury management processes that will allow us to scale efficiently.This role will work closely and report directly to the Chairman. If you are knowledgeable and passionate about education, are hungry for a challenge, want to work in a fast-paced startup environment, and have experience forming a finance department from scratch, then this role is for you!What You'll Be DoingYou will take over ThePOWER existing finance and accounting processes, revamp what is needed, and re-build the department from scratch.You will set up a bookkeeping and reporting system, taking into account the specifics of accounting for various products.You will own and maintain the company's overall accounting framework with the requirements and obligations prescribed by the relevant authorities.Working closely with ThePOWER accountants and tax consultants, you will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.You will be the primary contact for tax advisors, auditors, banks, and authorities.You will work with the Chairman to take over the ownership of ThePOWER business model and financial forecast.You will work with the Chairman to establish KPIs for the company and the team.You will establish a framework and governance for treasury management and liquidity requirements for ThePOWER infrastructure and create and write policies when needed.You will provide financial oversight on all products and services, working with the whole team cross-departmentally to identify potential areas where and how business performance can be improved.Proactively identify any scenarios that may present any significant risk to ThePOWER.Stay continuously up-to-date on current developments in the sector.Drive innovative thinking from a finance perspective to take ThePOWER products and services to the next level.Who You Are & What You'll NeedYou have 8+ years of experience as a Senior Manager, Lead, Head of Finance, Director of Finance, CFO, or equivalent, preferably in a startup environment.Native or Advanced level of English.An understanding of IFRS and accounting regulations.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant degrees.Professional accounting certifications and qualifications are a plus.Prior leadership skills with the ability to form a team from scratch.You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and are ready to get involved in multiple processes simultaneously.You are exceptionally well organized and can stay calm when working to tight deadlines.You can break complex problems into viable and actionable chunks and solve each problem accurately and effectively.Vast experience in M&A.Proven experience with investor relations.Proven experience with debt and banks.Experience in building departments from practically zero.BenefitsWorkplace: Arturo Soria, 245.Vacation: 28 working days per year: 25 of your choice and 3 additional (December 24 and 31, plus your birthday).Flexible compensation plan (meal vouchers, transport tickets, childcare vouchers, and Health Insurance).Global growing team: You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment made up of highly qualified professionals.Why work at thePower?At thePower, you will not only develop your technical and creative skills, but you will also be part of a team that is redefining the future of education.
