You will be responsible for the preparation and review of both in-house and outsourced VAT returns, and will interact with cross-functional teams in FSSC and deal with multi-locational customers across Europe.Key AccountabilitiesSupport and coordinate compliance deliverables provided by Colt's outsourced VAT provider.Handle statutory/internal audit and support VAT audits.Drive process governance within the VAT team.Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.Identify and timely escalate potential issues to the Reporting Manager.Assist Indirect Tax Manager with tax queries from the business.Support other projects as assigned from time to time.Carry out monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis.Role Specific RequirementsSkills:Understand what 'service' must be provided to customers and deliver this flawlessly.Follow through on customer enquiries, requests, or complaints.Keep all promises made, always delivering to agreed deadlines.Ensure work is complete, accurate, and of high quality.Drive personal development to gain the right skills and experience.Exhibit honesty, openness, integrity, and ethical behaviour.Be punctual and prepared for meetings, contributing opinions and ideas.Share responsibility and provide support when necessary.Identify risks related to process and information security and mitigate them as appropriate.Experience:Newly or Part qualified Chartered Accountant.Minimum of 3 years' work experience handling EU/UK VAT Compliance/Advisory.Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy.Good written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills.Ability to work under significant pressure and meet stringent timelines.Good command of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Colt is a growing business that is investing in its people.
