Within our service team for the Honeywell Building Technologies organization, we are looking for a Field Service Technician for the Catalunya area. Duties include developing the skills, information, and management discipline necessary to deliver services on time, leveraging business unit tools, processes, and best practices. Job responsibilities include performing work on HTB service projects to meet the financial and productivity metrics of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIESProvide service and assistance to the customer during field visits and service projects.Lead customer installation with other installation workers.Manage all installation, repair, maintenance, and on-site testing tasks.Diagnose technical errors or problems and determine appropriate solutions.Prepare timely and detailed service reports.Supervise field installation and wiring on service projects.Document processes.Safely operate automation systems.Follow all procedures and protocols on file with the company.Cooperate with the technical team and share information with the entire organization.Understand customer needs and make timely recommendations and reports.Establish positive relationships with customers.Availability and completion of tasks outside of normal working hours according to agreed rosters and instructions received.Health, Safety and Statutory ComplianceEnsure a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training, equipment/vehicle maintenance, and facilities improvement.Where applicable, ensure fire and security industry codes and standards are upheld.Ensure local statutory requirements are upheld.Follow the Honeywell SOPs and ensure the team adheres to these, emphasizing every service technician utilizes the service handheld tool and all work orders and dispatching is delivered through the Service Management System.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGEMinimum Associates degree or technical trade school diploma, or +3 years of equivalent work experience.Previous work experience servicing HVAC, Fire, Security, or access entry and alarm systems.SKILLSProven field service experience.Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.English literacy.Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.Programming skills.Fault finding skills.Security subsystems: Access, Intrusion, RFID controllers, and CCTV (Video streamers/cameras/Video Management System/DVRs).Life Safety subsystems: Intelligent Fire Alarm Systems.The ability to work under pressure.Build positive relationships with customers.Strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONExperience in Maintaining Commissioning BMS, HVAC, and Fire Systems/Security Systems.Willingness to travel.Current Driving License.Location: C/ Pau Vila, 15-19, Barcelona, BARCELONA, 08911, Spain
