Key job responsibilities Delivering the consistently high level of IT support our customers have come to expect.
Managing and deploying a diverse array of IT devices and technologies across our various site types.
Dive deeply into technical details, diagnose, and reproduce straightforward issues with Amazon technology products (e.g., services, tools, data solutions, etc.).
Regular contact with the Amazon Operations teams and identify process improvement or standardization opportunities for the European network.
Work on innovative projects that have a direct impact on our customer experience.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and standardize systems, all with an eye towards enhancing the customer experience.
A day in the life As an Amazon Operations IT intern you will have the opportunity to work alongside the industry's brightest engineers who innovate every day on behalf of our customers.
You will be matched to a local IT supervisor where you are based and a mentor.
You will work together with the local IT team to provide technical support to the Operations network.
About the team Amazon Operations IT teams keep Amazon's operations running smoothly by resolving complex hardware, software, server and infrastructure issues.
Our support model is based on both on-site and remote support teams spread across our network.
Minimum Requirements Currently in your penultimate or final year and working towards a university degree in IT / Computer science / Engineering or other tech fields.
Eligible to complete a full-time internship of 3-6 months.
Highly proficient in both spoken and written English and the local language of the country you are applying for (Common European Framework of Reference C1).
Basic knowledge of at least one of the following: systems, networks, or operating systems, including concepts like deployment, troubleshooting, and system upgrades on client devices and/or IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows Server operating systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with others.
Demonstrated curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
Experience with troubleshooting Networks (LAN/WAN).
