All over the world, the name Hasler is synonymous with Swiss quality in the railway market. The head office of HaslerRail AG is located in Berne, Switzerland. We are looking for an experienced and motivated person to join our team in Spain. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our market presence in international markets, focusing on innovative solutions and services for the railway sector. You will collaborate with various teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with our business objectives. This includes identifying new opportunities, introducing and selling our products and solutions to customers, technical advice to customers, as well as commercial negotiations and the ongoing support of good relationships with new and long term established customers. Coordination with our engineering teams for the elaboration of the technical solution and the preparation of the corresponding economic proposal to finally establish tailor-made contracts for customers.You will take the responsibility to fulfil the yearly sales budget for these markets. The travelling frequency is approximately 50%
The key responsibilities associated with this important role are:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international railway markets to achieve sales targets.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners in the railway industry to foster long-term business growth.
Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape specific to the railway sector.
Create and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and increase market share in the railway industry.
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to ensure our offerings meet the needs of international clients.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing our railway solutions and services.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company while ensuring client satisfaction.
Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on progress and market insights.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, promote our brand, and stay updated on industry developments.
Support Sales Team Leader and Director of Sales & Marketing regarding budget and strategy whenever needed
Support the Project Team during the project execution phase
Requirements
Engineering degree (preferably electrical/electronic engineering or similar).
Proven experience in sales and business development within the railway industry or similar sectors.
Strong understanding of global railway markets, technologies, and regulatory environments is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
English native speaker or at least C1.
Spanish and other languages are a plus.
