Your goal is to provide guests with an unparalleled wine experience, where they can enjoy personalised guidance, and your expertise will help them explore new varietals and regions, all while respecting their preferences and enhancing their loyalty.You will lead the wine-buying process and oversee stock management, ensuring that the inventory remains dynamic and reflective of the hotel's standards. Building strong relationships with suppliers, managing stock rotation, and recognising regular guests' wine preferences will be essential to your role, as well as guiding both the guest and staff in wine pairings and discoveries.Key ResponsibilitiesCurating the Wine Selection: Source and purchase wines from prestigious estates and promising, environmentally responsible producers. Develop a philosophy around the wine program that complements the culinary vision of the Palace.Wine Pairing and Guest Guidance: Work closely with the culinary team to create harmonious food and wine pairings that elevate the dining experience. Personally guide guests through their wine choices, recognising regulars and recording their preferences, while helping them explore new and exciting wine regions and varietals.Wine Experience Program: Develop and lead wine events, tastings, and wine dinners, creating immersive experiences for guests that showcase the depth of the hotel's wine program.
