Job Description Reporting to the General Manager Spain and the VP Operations Europe.
His/Her main responsibilities are:
Ensure the site, equipment, plant and people meet with legislative and internal health and safety standards at all times. 10%Better or meet the business Product Safety & Quality targets, within your teams and across the site, for internal & external audits and customer complaint reduction. 10%Ensure labour standards are met at all times and provide analysis of labour usage as required. 20%Ensure Department Heads within your functional control at least meet the budgets agreed and provide at least monthly updates of their progress to this target and early warning of any exceptional spends before the fact to gain business approval. 20%Work closely with the Plant Accountant to understand financial performance and to provide commentary for the UK Month End Review process. Agree strategies to correct any issues and ensure close out of resulting actions within the site team. 20%Provide the data necessary to complete the annual budget process for the operational elements. These must be based on factual results and with annotations to justify any changes from the previous year. Ensure feedback from your departmental heads is taken into account to gain the necessary buy in from the beginning and prevent any unforeseen expenditure being raised after budgets are agreed. 20%Collaborate with other departments, such as quality and supply chain, to optimize production workflows and address any issues that arise, and working internal relationships with stakeholders, and external ones with customers, contractors and auditors.Relevant decisions the incumbent takes that create an impact in the business: Team and labour management of Spain.Determining, negotiating and agreeing procedures.Product safety & quality.Process control & training requirements.Capital expenditure.PO release.Production consumables spend. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.Very high level of English; knowledge of other languages is a positive factor.Previous food industry experience essential in an senior manufacturing position within multinational companies of similar dimensions.Ability to leverage manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices to optimize operational efficiency and productivity.Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP if possible.Previous experience managing Teams.Excellent leadership and team management skills. Inspiring and motivating the team to achieve organizational goals.Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and manage various challenges as they arise.
