The role
We are looking for a Hardware engineer specialized in Power Electronics components to develop our know-how in the area and tackle the projects we are handling.
Key responsibilities
HW design calculations
HW components selection to satisfy calculations and requirements
HW Simulations: model base design (Matlab/Simulink and Spice)
HW schematic and PCB layout design (EMC rules for layout)
Support eCAD group according to design rules and EMC good practices
Perform design quality activities such as DFMEA, FTA, Worst Case Analysis
HW development activities according to defined processes and procedures
HW documentation deliveries: internal releases and customer deliverables
Understanding of customer requirements and providing direct technical feedback
Understanding of our System Requirements and system Architecture to perform schematic (according to HW design handbook)
Minimum Requirements
You are a seasoned hardware engineer with 5 or more years of experience working as a hardware designer and you are specialized in Power Electronics.
You have deep knowledge about switching between AC and DC, BLDC motor control, electrical AC transition motors, discrete components, sensors, battery management systems, and converters.
Experience as an Automotive HW designer:
Engineering Industrial Electronics or Telecommunication university degree
Battery management (BMS, BMC, CMC, and current sensors) design experience
HV contactor systems
Experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, active/passive current probes, multimeter) and soldering, to perform measurements, design, and tests
Good knowledge of electronics technology and discrete components including sensors
Capability to understand the customer specifications and requirements: English mandatory
Capability to generate engineering documentation according to HW Spice process
Good knowledge of electronic simulation tools (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, PSPICE)
Desirable
Power Supply Design experience for LV PSU (Push-pull, Flyback, Sepic)
Automotive experience
EMC design knowledge and techniques for EMC countermeasures
Automotive communication bus (CAN, LIN, K-LINE, SENT)
Good electronics technical background, including experience in the design of electronics control units in an automotive environment
Battery Charger Design experience (3.6KW to 22KW is appreciated)
Knowledge/understanding of electronics manufacturing and testing processes (IPC-610A, IPC-2221A)
ISO26262 Knowledge
Experience in V design according to ISO SPICE standard
