GDF/CT - Frontend Engineer for Generative AI (m/f/d)JOIN THE TEAMOur team "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions for Supply Chains" develops innovative solutions to derive insights from data that support better and faster business decisions. We implement (Generative) AI-driven solutions in its complete lifecycle for users in supply chain management around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIESWork in close alignment with the other project team members and stakeholders to fully understand background and business requirements of each party and consult them in their activities.Translate the collected business requirements into technical concepts, especially regarding the Generative AI frameworks and architecture.Drive the sustainable implementation of our new GenAI-oriented Supply Chain Intelligence platform, including:Professional software development and implementation by utilizing BASF standard DevOps platforms / libraries.Construction, deployment, and implementation of microservices on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.GenAI functionalities, especially high-performance of the application.Create product requirement documents and maintain it in an agile working mode, e.g. in Azure DevOps boards and tasks.Work in an international and agile DevOps environment and apply agile principles for setting priorities and managing multiple stakeholders in a challenging business environment.Share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues and promote a culture of AI-driven innovation within the organization.Manage communication with external vendors to validate the landscape design & integration concept.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: A bachelor or master's in information technology, software engineering, Computer Science or Data Science.Working Experience: 4+ years professional implementation experience in software engineering / development.Experience with Agile way of working or agile implementation approach.Strong Communication & Presentation skills.Technical and professional knowledge (Must have):At least 3 years of software / Frontend engineering experience with:JavaScript, Node.js, Spring Boot or .NET Core with MS SQL and NoSQL database.Angular / Vue/ HTML5 and CSS.Unit Testing using Jasmine, Karma, NUnit.User interfaces for Generative AI, like ChatGPT.At least a year of software engineering experience with:Experience constructing, developing, and implementing microservices.Maintaining infrastructure as code.Experience working on a DevOps team.Experience with configuring and deploying on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.Comfortable working in a highly complex environment with multiple stakeholders and with strong pressure to deliver on time and on budget.BENEFITSA secure work environment because your health, safety and wellbeing is always our top priority.Flexible work schedule and Home-office options, so that you can balance your working life and private life.Learning and development opportunities.23 holiday days per year.5 additional days (readjustment).A collaborative, trustful and innovative work environment.Being part of an international team and work in global projects.Relocation assistance to Madrid provided.At BASF, the chemistry is right.Because we are counting on innovative solutions, on sustainable actions, and on connected thinking.
