We empower game engine developers with comprehensive mapping capabilities and a premium developer experience. In this role you will build developer resources for ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unity and Unreal Engine, designing and documenting best patterns and practices. You will also get the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design, implementation, and validation of new features.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop sample code or game engine workflows to test and demonstrate product capabilitiesManage the development of samples in our public repositoryBuild compelling demos that showcase common geospatial workflows and product featuresSupport users in the Esri Community to troubleshoot app development issues, gather feedback, and ensure a great developer experiencePromote the product with engaging presentations, workshops, blogs, videos, and other contentMore experienced individuals will:
Work closely with product development teams to adopt upcoming technologies and develop new featuresExamine complex user workflows and define solutions by working closely with customersLead and coordinate teams of engineers to deliver product releasesRequirements2+ years of game engine development experienceKnowledge of C++ and C#Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management, prioritization, teamwork, and interpersonal skillsAbility to understand new technology concepts quickly and apply them accuratelyBachelor's in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a related fieldRecommended QualificationsAbility to design great user experiencesHands-on experience with Esri ArcGIS software or other geospatial technologyMaster's in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or a related fieldAbout EsriAt Esri, diversity is more than just a word on a map.
