Mandarin Oriental Barcelona Hotel has 120 rooms, 28 of which are suites. All of our exquisite rooms and suites are uniquely decorated by Patricia Urquiola.

In addition to accommodation, the hotel has rooms that we rent for all kinds of events, such as weddings, meetings, business meetings...

Regarding the hotel's gastronomy, we have a 2 Michelin star restaurant, a wonderful cocktail bar, indoor garden Mimosa and the pool terrace where you can enjoy light dinners or spectacular views.

The hotel Spa consists of 8 treatment rooms, both facial and body, indoor pool and gym.

We are currently looking for new talent to join the Front Office department as Front Office Supervisor.

What will be the main functions you will perform in your position? Scope of Position The Night Supervisor will provide supervision and direction in the Front Desk and all other areas in the hotel during the night with the objectives, performance and quality standards established by the hotel.

Organizational Structure The Night Supervisor reports directly to the Front Desk Manager and oversees directly the overnight staff in the Hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities Major responsibilities Ensure proper, efficient and profitable functioning of the overnight shift. Ensure supervision of overnight cleaners. Ensure supervision of all other Hotel overnight staff in other areas such as e.g. Room Service. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by effectively controlling rates and availability. Clarify duties and responsibilities of overnight Front Desk colleagues and ensure that work processes are in a logical order. Ensure proper staffing at all times. Ensure that Legendary Quality Standards, policies and procedures are properly understood and followed through. Ensure and maintain a very high standard of personal hygiene, behaviour and grooming standards of staff. Handle all guest complaints and comments relating to the department tactfully. Cooperate and coordinate teamwork with other departments. Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Front Desk Manager or management of the Hotel. Daily responsibilities Handle all incoming reservation calls and walk-in reservations. In charge of the daily SMS night run as well as the Agylisis night run. Responsible for the first accounting run (daily credit card receipts, paid outs, cash receipts and currency). Receives and checks daily F&B billings. In charge of end-of-month closing (SMS and Agylisis). Ensure that all night audit functions are completed efficiently. Creates daily Handover for colleagues. Check cash float at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure at all times that amounts are correct. Able to read and write Spanish and English. Requirements Mandatory Previous Night Supervisor experience in a luxury hotel. Knowledge of computers and systems. Successful problem solving skills. Possess an excellent written and verbal command of Spanish and English. Excellent overall communication skills. Able to multi-task. Strong desire to provide excellent guest service. The ability to work well in a team environment. Flexible schedules and hours, willingness to work on weekends, nights and holidays is required. Able to stand for extended periods of time. Possess a pleasant and outgoing personality. Desirable Multi-lingual is preferred. What kind of talent are we looking for this position? We are looking for a person with good customer orientation.
