.Financial Accountant | Santander Consumer Finance SA Your role and the team You are accountable for verifying and handling general ledger transactions, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and managing month-end bookings. Additionally, you play a role in both external and internal audits. From an accounting standpoint, you participate in IT projects that intersect with financial management. Your responsibilities include assisting with internal and external report generation, supporting the payments department, and focusing primarily on the automotive sector. Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely management of financial data, covering general ledger, debtors, creditors, subsystem connections, and balance sheet account reconciliations. Provide both internal and external financial reports promptly and accurately, including CIT, VAT reports, and other relevant statistical reports. Prepare monthly and annual reports. Supply balance sheet and profit and loss information to the head office in compliance with IFRS. Adhere to financial, tax regulations, and laws correctly. Assist in internal and external audits and contribute to resolving audit findings. Assist in defining data requirements and providing necessary information for project/activity settlements. Contribute to enhancing and establishing new processes. You are At least an HBO education, preferably in the field of accounting. At least 5 years of relevant work experience (equivalent position). Experience in financial services is a plus. Good knowledge of IFRS. Knowledge of payroll administration. Knowledge of credits and credit products, lease products, and components are a clear plus. Advanced command of Microsoft Excel. Good command of the Dutch (fluent) and English (advanced) language in speech and writing. Soft skills: accurate, driven, proactive, and independent.
