The position is offering a unique opportunity for personal and professional development in this rapidly developing field while delivering your valuable contribution for our company and society.The role is part of the Global team of Sustainability and HSE function of Grid Integration Business Unit, an organization of ca. 7000 employees working for delivering a sustainable energy future for all.Your responsibilitiesClosely work with cross-functional teams at BU and local level to setting organizational targets, and build, share, and deploy environmental programs, initiatives and best practices driving further development both in factories and projects, overseeing the delivery of strategic initiatives to achieve the targets.Developing and maintaining tools and techniques that support the environmental sustainability agenda, such as quantification of economic and environmental risks and opportunities.Consolidate and report on progress towards environmental targets and environmental data (GHG emissions, waste, energy, water, wastewater, etc.) to Corporate.Understand business needs regarding environment, to develop and provide materials, tools, documents, processes, trainings etc to support and enable the business to improve the impacts on environment.Engage, educate and support all stakeholders and functions to drive their environmental goalsLead and guide the Factories' teams to identify, plan and implement environmental improvement projects to achieve our environmental goalsQuantification of environmental impact of operations (projects mainly) with a value chain mindset (initially methodology and baseline, then improvement and development), building on existing industry standards, guidelines, and data (GHG Protocol, ISO 14040, and others).Identification of hot spots, and evaluation of impact of innovations, improvements etc.Stay informed about changes in environmental legislation and adapt programs accordingly.Support the business in any environment related needs, (including tenders, qualifications, internal improvement projects, …) directly, or involving the subject responsible/subject matter expert in the organizationEnsuring compliance to environmental incident reporting, investigation, and analysis program.Support in development and maintenance of environmental management tools, as well as mapping and managing integration of environmental data from different sourcesYour profileDegree in Environmental Engineering, Business, engineering or other sustainability-related fieldKnowledge of main carbon reporting and environmental reporting frameworks (CDP, SBti, ISO 14001, etc)Experience/interest in the field of environmental quantification, planning, reporting and managementData savviness and a quantitative mind - Having an eye for details with both numbers and words; being precise with calculations and their visualization and approach issues in a clear and logical mannerProactive attitude towards collaboration and communicationAbility to influence and guide stakeholders and deduct suitable actions from an overall strategyAbility to deal with complexity and variable workloadAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to ensure that everyone involved knows what they are working toward and what is expected from themIndependent and organized way of workingExperience in complex projects, experience in the energy sector would be advantageous but is not essentialFluent in English, any additional language is a plus
