Preferred locations: UK, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Sweden. Open to: Poland, Greece, Romania, Hungary, Czechia… Qualifications & Responsibilities 5 years of proven experience leading engineering teams of (5). MUST HAVE hands-on in a management experience, leading highly experienced BE teams. MUST HAVE previously or currently managed a remote team to some capacity. 8 years of building enterprise level Backend systems using Java, for customer facing Enterprise SaaS. Proficient in agile methodologies, and are capable to lead scrum teams and drive execution through team collaboration.?? Technical experience (non-negotiables) 6 years experince in Java development of Backend systems (python not enough). Track record of experience with Data Science or MLOps related products. Full stack capabilities (BE, FE, DB). Strong experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a MUST, to build and maintain infrastructure that supports the scaling needs of our platform. Prior experience in ML, LLM or MLOps domain. Design and lead development of scalable, secure, and resilient ML backend systems. Ensure backend reliability with robust monitoring, logging, and incident response. Promote modern practices: microservices, Agile, and CI/CD adoption. Start-up DNA, someone that can take ambiguity and chaos and drive success. Skilled in collaboration and influence, adept at driving results without formal authority.
