For our Liquid & Powder Technologies Division, we are currently looking for an Automation Engineer.
Liquid & Powder Technologies provide processing equipment and integrated solutions for the dairy, food, new food, beverage, chemical and home & personal care industries. The portfolio includes brewing systems, liquid processing, aseptic and non-aseptic filling & packaging, concentration, fermentation, crystallization, purification, drying, powder handling & packaging as well as systems for carbon capture and emission control. GEA designs, builds, configures and installs versatile and sustainable equipment and technologies, processing lines and complete plants.
Supports the implementation of the automation engineering of projects in contact with the Lead or Senior engineers, as well as other Project Engineers since the signing of the contract until completion to be on time / quality / budget and reaching high customer satisfaction levels.
Number of projects per year: 2-8 projects worldwide.
Once the methodology as defined above is established, to implement it, follow it up and control its accomplishment by means of the project.
Travel and commissioning estimated 45% of the time over the year.
Mostly works in a project team, coordinated with other engineers assigned to the project.
Operational Responsibilities: Ensures automation engineering project compliance with customer specifications, functional analysis, GEA norms and automation standards.
Documents Engineering according to GEA procedures.
Contacts with GEA external suppliers for material procurement.
Electrical panels assembly supervision and FAT.
Equipment IO tests, including basic electrical measurements and checks.
Participates and contributes to the improvement of projects' productivity, as well as the innovation approach in the automation and/or electrical domain.
Meets regulatory safety regulations in force on the site or established by GEA.
Constantly evaluates safety during commissioning.
Promotes the sharing of skills and ideas across teams.
Ensures regular reporting on automation engineering & site assembly tasks' progress to the automation project leader.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or similar (Automation / Telecommunication…). Master's degree will be considered a plus.
Computer literacy with demonstrated experience in using Internet, Microsoft Office.
Advanced level of English (B2/C1). French, German, Portuguese skills are also highly valued.
Hygienic design know-how. QHSE standards in industries (particularly IAA).
Mechanical & Electrical engineering know-how.
S88, S95, S101 norms.
Written and oral communication skills.
