Your role involves mentoring engineers, ensuring high-quality code, and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment that prioritizes ownership and continuous improvement.You'll spend time on the following:Leading a team of software engineers to help us develop microservices at a scale that is required for GrouponHiring, mentoring and coaching your direct reports to be the best they can beWorking cross-functionally with other teams to understand and prioritize user asks, features and tooling.Work with Commercial and Product stakeholders to ensure execution of Travel roadmap to meet business objectivesRunning ongoing delivery and daily operations of servicesContinuously improving the management and engineering processes for the team and services.We value Managers who have:B.E or higher degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience2+ years of experience in leading a team of engineers.Experience building and growing a team of engineers.Experience designing and implementing large, scalable, distributed systemsGood interpersonal skills.Ability to work with multiple languages Java, Node/Express JS, React.js etc.Backend experience with RESTful API and RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.)Been a role model for engineers on the team, providing timely coaching and mentoring to all.We're excited about you if you have:Experience with managing platform services, delivering projects in dynamic environmentYou have been responsible for building and leading a high performance engineering teamYou are highly technical with a strong background in computer science.
