About the role We are looking for a C++ Hands-on Engineering Manager whose mission will be to lead and guide the most important part of our engineering organization—our people.
Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will partner with the Product Management team to develop best-in-class user experiences and ensure a flawless delivery process of new features.
What you'll do Around 50% of your time will dedicated to your team management role, in which you will: Understand product scope and team capacity to ensure successful execution and delivery.
In collaboration with the Product Manager, drive the definition of Quarterly Objectives for the product and team, looking for consensus within the team and with the Leadership Team.
Propose, define, track and report key results and KPIs.
Plan around dependencies and ensure predictable delivery.
Resolve blockers and prevent future issues.
Improve team processes like speeding code merge reviews or task definitions and refinement.
Regularly assess team motivation and engagement, reporting to management as needed.
Identify and manage risks, working with teams to implement mitigations.
Support team members' development by setting goals, creating plans, and helping them succeed.
For the remaining 50% you will: Improve our build system and the capabilities of the team CI pipeline.
Extend the automatic test coverage.
Keep an eye on the team's global architecture.
Simplify the maintenance needs for the mobile wrappers for our SDK Ensure tech debt is properly pushed within the team Contribute to the Voicemod Audio Engine source code in C++ What you'll need Proficient English Level (C1+) Extensive experience in software development, with a strong focus on C++ Previous experience leading teams .
Recent hands-on coding experience in C++ (no more than 2 years ago).
Expertise with CMake , Experience planning, configuring and maintaining CI pipelines , Knowledge of unit and integration tests .
Strong track record of managing technical projects using Agile methodologies .
Bonus skills Past experience as tech lead or software architect.
Experience using and producing Conan packages Knowledge and experience working with SonarQube to ensure code quality and security.
Passion for audio, music, recording or sound in any shape or (wave)form.
Experience managing remote or partially remote teams.
Previous experience in a startup environment.
