UL's global expertise in energy and asset advisory services, due diligence, testing and certification, and software applications in solar, wind and offshore wind provides the expertise for product or project certification, early-stage feasibility and design, project development and financing, managing operational wind and solar projects, to extending the life of those projects.
As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for an Engineering Leader to lead our Wind Asset Advisory team in EMEA and help provide solutions to support wind farm operational success for our customers.

You will be responsible for the growth and profitability of your service area and will report to the Global Director of UL Renewables. You will manage a team of 17 engineers and technicians and will be involved in various commercial activities towards prospects and customers to bring technical support to the EMEA Sales team in the generation of leads and opportunities. Manage multi-disciplinary teams executing high profile projects. Optimize team schedules to meet customers' expectations, working closely with other teams within the region and globally to optimize team utilization and shortest delivery times, ensuring the team performance in terms of combined project profitability and billable time. Collaborate with the Sales Team and participate in online and face-to-face customer meetings to bring technical expertise. Support the preparation of proposals on the technical aspects when required. Showcase technical topics within articles, online publication, customer trainings or live events to promote UL expertise in line with the Renewables development strategy, representing UL at trade shows and technical conferences. Take an active part in providing the best customer experience by providing best-in class project delivery, respecting project timeline, channeling internally improvement areas. Full budget and P&L responsibility, including developing annual revenue and business plans and identifying specific growth areas in EMEA for our services. Assist with any other duties as assigned within Renewables advisory activities. Master of Science degree in a quantitative field (Physical Science, Engineering, Data Science or Statistics, Renewable Energy) from an accredited University or Engineering School. 6 to 10 years' experience in the wind energy sector in the European or EMEA market. Prior experience leading teams, ideally globally. Ability to promote services to technical and commercial decision makers, owners, operators, lenders as well as to investors. Strong customer focus and strong interpersonal skills to establish trustful relationships, ability to sell and to close orders. Prior experience working in a matrix organization. Excellent communication skills in English and French or Spanish. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT). Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Detail oriented. Strong team spirit and proactive attitude. Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge in solar would be appreciated.
