The goal of the software engineering team is to develop and deploy production quality software and sub-system platform solutions to our customers and partners to enable them to build systems and end-products for multiple applications/segments – high-speed communications systems, programmable and flexible software-defined Radio systems, RADAR systems, and high speed/bandwidth test equipment, to name a few. These systems include both standards-based and proprietary implementations, and are deployed in civil (healthcare, industrial, automotive, consumer) as well as defense applications. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, and technical skills who works well in a diverse environment across a geographically-distributed organization.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, Design, Develop and Verify embedded system software and device drivers for RF/high-speed converter front end, chips, and SoC products.Develop on target systems that operate on bare-metal or OS-based framework, on an ARM or other embedded processors, with multi-threading capabilityUnderstand system requirements; software architecture; algorithm and calibration mechanisms, and be able to implement and verify software and chip/system operationTest and Debug embedded software on high-speed converter SoC using test equipment and test automationDevelop test code/scripts for logical and functional test of the software. Familiarity with SW methods, C, C++ and Python programming and microprocessors is a definite plus. Deliver quality embedded system firmware with very good documentationFollow coding standards and code documentation requirementsParticipate in code reviewsUnderstand RF/high-speed converter systems and associated test equipment, including power management and drivers/power amplifiers.
